The Foundation supports organizations and efforts based in and serving Pierce County and its residents.

Capital Project Restrictions

The Foundation does not currently support capital projects or requests for new facility construction. Proposals seeking support for smaller capital items used to support ongoing operations and/or efforts to improve organizational effectiveness will be considered.

Charitable Status Requirement

The Foundation will make grants to organizations that have been determined by the Internal Revenue Service to be a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Code, and “not a private foundation,” within the meaning of Code Section 509(a), or in the absence of such a determination, one that is a state or any political subdivision thereof within the meaning of Code Section 170(c)(1), or a state college or university within the meaning of Code Section 511(a)(2)(B), defined as a “Public Charity.”
